Abuse & Enforcement Policy

Discordium is a safety-focused, NSFW-free platform. This policy defines prohibited behavior, how abuse is reported, and how we enforce our rules, in compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA).

Scope & Purpose

This policy applies to all users, servers, bots, and partners, regardless of account type or payment status. It defines:

  • What constitutes prohibited behavior
  • How abuse is reported and handled
  • How Discordium enforces its rules

Definition of Abuse

Abuse includes any behavior that threatens the safety, integrity, or trust of the platform.

2.1 Illegal or Severely Harmful Content

  • Child sexual exploitation (zero tolerance)
  • Terrorism, extremism, or violence promotion
  • Criminal activities or instructions
  • Violations of applicable law (EU, Germany, US)
Result: Immediate removal + permanent suspension + possible legal reporting

2.2 Fraud, Deception & Manipulation

  • Scams, phishing, crypto fraud
  • Fake giveaways or misleading listings
  • Vote/bump/ranking manipulation
  • Impersonation or false verification claims

2.3 Platform & System Abuse

  • Spam or mass advertising
  • Circumvention of limits, cooldowns, or safeguards
  • Multi-account abuse or ban evasion
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities

2.4 Harassment & Abuse

  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Threats, doxxing, intimidation
  • Coordinated harassment

2.5 Abuse of Bots, APIs & Premium Features

  • Reverse engineering or tampering
  • Bypassing security systems
  • Selling or abusing premium access

Notice & Action System (DSA Compliance)

Users may report abuse via:

Reports should include

  • URL / ID of the content
  • Description of the violation
  • Evidence (screenshots, logs)

Confirmation

Users will receive confirmation that their report was submitted.

Processing

Reports are reviewed without undue delay, prioritizing severe risks.

Enforcement & Sanctions

Discordium may take the following actions:

  • Content removal
  • Listing restriction or deletion
  • Feature limitations
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent ban
  • Revocation of verification or partnerships

Decisions are based on: Severity · Repetition · Intent · Risk to users

Statement of Reasons (DSA Requirement)

When action is taken, Discordium will provide affected users with:

  • The reason for the decision
  • The rule or policy violated
  • The type of enforcement applied

The level of detail may be limited in cases involving security risks, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

Appeals & Complaint System

Users have the right to appeal enforcement decisions. Appeals can be submitted via:

Appeal Review: Reviewed by a separate or independent process (where possible). Decisions are reassessed based on evidence.

Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution (EU Users)

Users in the EU may choose certified out-of-court dispute resolution bodies in accordance with the DSA. Discordium will cooperate with such bodies where legally required.

Trusted Flaggers

Discordium may prioritize reports from:

  • Verified partners
  • Security researchers
  • Trusted community members

These reports may receive accelerated review.

Transparency & Accountability

Discordium may publish transparency information including:

  • Number of reports received
  • Types of violations
  • Enforcement actions taken

This improves accountability and platform safety.

Misuse of Reporting Systems

  • False, misleading, or abusive reports may lead to enforcement action
  • Abuse of reporting tools is treated as a violation

Cooperation With Authorities

Discordium may:

  • Share data where legally required
  • Cooperate with law enforcement
  • Respond to regulatory requests

Policy Updates

This policy may be updated to:

  • Comply with legal requirements
  • Address new abuse patterns
  • Improve safety systems
